Kinistino is a beautiful town in a great location. A wide range of recreational facilities and activities are present in Kinistino.  These include a Sports Complex (a gymnasium area, skating and curling rinks), a tennis court, and a Kinsmen Park complete with a supervised paddling pool.  Kinistino is also in close proximity to golf courses, a swimming pool and bowling.

Not only is the Town beautiful with many things to offer for recreation and leisure, but the overall location has many benefits as well. Kinistino is in close proximity to the forks where the North Saskatchewan and South Saskatchewan rivers meet. At almost the same location as the forks is the picturesque horseshoe river bend. At this location the river wraps in the shape of a horseshoe and from the top of the hill you can see this naturally gorgeous formation surrounded by lush foliage.

To the north of Kinistino the Saskatchewan River Forks is a Provincial Historic Site.  Several picnic spots have been developed in the beautiful scenery surrounding the River.

The area surrounding Kinistino is great for hunting.  Geese, ducks and other game birds are hunted by local residents as well as travellers from other parts of Canada and the United States.  Some big game hunting is done in close proximity to the Town.
