Household garbage pickup is Monday morning; if Monday falls on a statutory holiday, garbage pickup will be on Tuesday morning.  The landfill is open to residents on Wednesday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to NOON.  We provide clear plastic bags for your grass clippings, leaves and garden refuse. These bags are picked up separate from regular garbage. When hauling your own garbage, please unload in posted areas as indicated.  Cardboard and paper are no longer accepted at the landfill. You can dispose of these at one of the yellow bins in town.

There will be a charge to dispose of large items.   Tags will have to be purchased at the Town Office prior to taking the item(s) to the landfill. ‘Whites’ means large metallic objects such as major appliances, water heaters, stoves, furnaces, washers, dryers, refrigerators, deep freezers, dishwashers, bed springs, fencing, gates, etc. The doors of freezers and refrigerators are to be removed.
