Canada Community Building Fund

Saskatchewan and Canada entered into an administrative agreement enabling the provincial government to continue to receive funding from the CCBF for a 10-year term: 2024-25 through 2033-34.

The payments are based on per capita and are to be used for municipal infrastructure projects and capacity building projects.

STREET IMPROVEMENTS

For the past several funding agreements, the Town has chosen to use funds for street improvements.  In 2025 we upgraded 1 km of road within town, including excavating deep sections, laying the base layer and asphalt surface, and repairing manhole covers and valve box tops. This project will reduce average travel time and extend the estimated service life of the infrastructure.
